Job Description:

Function:Perform a variety of activities required to ensure quality systems, processes and customer requirements are operating to the level desired by the Precious Plate management team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain internal quality systems to meet current Precious Plate, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 requirements.Statistical analysis of data for use in customer or internal requirements (ex PPAP or Cost Reduction Activities).Review of customer prints and specifications, as applicable, to ensure processing of material is adequate to meet those requirements.Assist in the review and maintenance of internal quality documentation including Quality Specification Sheets, Work Instructions, forms, etc. through the use of AutoCAD and other software programs.Lead Corrective Action Teams to investigate and identify root cause of problems, using the 8D process, and help define action items to prevent recurrence.Oversee Continuous Improvement projects by leading a Yield Improvement Team.Provide regular reporting and analysis to management within organization.Creation and maintenance of FMEAs. Flow Charts, and Control Plans.Other duties as directed by Precious Plate Management.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Associates degree or equivalent experience in quality, engineering, or related field required.5+ years of automotive manufacturing quality systems experience, preferably in a QE position.Detailed understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.Certified as an internal ISO or IATF auditor.Trained in SPC principles and applications.Computer literate in AutoCAD, MS Office, Lotus Smartsuite, and Minitab.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and elicit work output.EOE
