Job Description



Promote and execute quality standards, inspection plans, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.

Develop and implement new test criteria and /or assembly methods. Daily support of production areas for quality issues, coordination of product and process changes and change requests, questions, troubleshooting guidance and training.

Technical quality support of engineering including drawing and specification review.

Develop inspection and sampling plans via AWS/ASQ ZI.4 and ZI.9 and customer and product needs and requirements.

Support and participate in customer and third party quality audits and source inspections.

Participate in the root cause/corrective action and preventive action process for internal or external nonconformance.

Develop metrics in collaboration with supplier quality to evaluate supply partners.

Report to management on quality issues and trends.

Participate in the review of customer purchase orders, contracts and change orders to understand, communicate, and coordinate all quality requirements and ensure that all requirements are included to quality and process plans toward establishing capability of meeting the order.

Assist in the evaluation of process, product and supply chain to develop risk assessments including the development of FMEA's

Develop control plans for key processes.

Complete or assist in the completion of First Article Inspection Reports and PPAP's

Document creation, control and standardization.

Collaborate with purchasing to direct preventive action and continual improvement within the supply chain, including conducting supplier audits.

Support the inspection function on site for technical questions and back-up support.

Filter and organize customer feedback and complaints to clarify and prioritize action.

Implementation and maintenance of the AS9100 quality management system including functioning as an internal auditor for the AS9100 Quality Management System.

Knowledge, understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all applicable standard regulations relating to job duties.

Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Customer standards, policies, and procedures.

Collect and analyze data from the Engineering and Manufacturing departments. Review data and develop quality improvement processes by applying problem-solving techniques.

Receive and resolve Customer concerns and complaints.

Monitor, test, and inspect heat transfer products to ensure meet specifications, quality standards, and Customer and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with Engineering on developing and implementing new testing criteria and/or assembly methods.

Interacts with and coordinates activities among internal departments, external Vendors, and Customers.

Participates in Quality Assurance (QA) objectives.

Evaluates site QA metrics.

Practices and promotes Good Manufacturing Practices.

Knowledge, understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.

Make recommendations to implement improved processes.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.



Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent in relevant work experience preferred.

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plus.

ISO9001 /AS9100 auditing experience a plus.

3 years related experience required. 5 years of related experience preferred.

Excellent use of accurate use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment.

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.

Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.

Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
