Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for communicating and facilitating
quality throughout the organization and the supply chain.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONSDevelop and implement new test criteria and /or assembly
methodsDaily support of production areas for quality issues, change
requests, questions, troubleshooting, guidance, training,
coordination of product and process changes.Assist in collecting
and reviewing technical paperwork that may be required at time of
shipments (datapacks)Technical quality support of engineering
including drawing and specification reviewSupport and participate
in customer and third-party quality audits and source
inspectionsParticipate in the root cause/corrective action and
preventive action process for internal or external nonconformance
which includes participation on the material review board
(MRB)Report to management on quality issues and trendsParticipate
in contract review to understand, communicate, and ensure all
quality requirements are includedAssist in the evaluation of
process, product, and supply chain to develop risk assessments
including the development of FMEA's when needed.Develop control
plans for key processes when requiredComplete or assist in the
completion of First Article Inspection Reports and
PPAP'sCollaborate with purchasing to lead preventive action and
continual improvement within the supply chain, including conducting
supplier auditsSupport the inspection process on site for technical
questions and back-up supportKnowledge, understanding, compliance,
and enforcement of all applicable standard regulations relating to
job dutiesKnowledge, understanding, and compliance with Customer
standards, policies, and proceduresCollect and analyze data from
the Engineering and Manufacturing departments. Review data and
develop quality improvement processes by applying problem-solving
techniquesReceive and resolve Customer concerns/complaints through
the CAPA processCollaborate with Engineering on developing and
implementing new testing criteria and/or assembly methodsInteracts
with and coordinates activities among internal departments,
external Vendors, and CustomersParticipates in Quality Assurance
(QA) objectivesEvaluates site QA metricsPractices and promotes Good
Manufacturing PracticesKnowledge, understanding, compliance, and
enforcement of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and
regulations relating to job dutiesMake recommendations to implement
improved processesPerform other duties as assigned PREFERRED SKILLS
AND ABILITIESExcellent use of accurate use of micrometers,
calipers, and other measuring toolsStrong attention to
detailExcellent personal computer skills, including Microsoft
OfficeAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts,
and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a
multi-tasked environmentAbility to maintain the highest level of
confidentialityExcellent interpersonal, written, and oral
communications skillsAbility to work in a team fostered environment
QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Quality, Mechanical, or
Industrial Engineering or equivalent in relevant work experience
preferredCertified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plusISO9001 /AS9100
internal auditing experience a plus3 years related experience
required. 5 years of related experience preferred ADDITIONAL
