For more information about the company, please visit our website at-- -.-- - Linde Gas and Equipment Inc. (LG&E) is seeking a Project Manager - Engineer to join our Engineering team. The LG&E Project Manager - Engineer will be a member of the LG&E engineering organization and will act as a dedicated resource responsible for managing and conducting a diverse set of projects providing dry ice process and technical expertise, production and productivity improvement for the LG&E dry ice facilities and managing the LG&E Niagara Falls Service Center. The size of these projects may vary from improvements to existing dry ice processes and facilities to installation of new dry ice plants and systems, as well as supporting LG&E projects and equipment through the Niagara Falls Service Center. -- -The Project Manager - Engineer will be responsible for conducting these projects nationally and interfacing with regional stakeholders.-- - This position will report to the Director of Engineering and be based in Niagara Falls, but location is flexible. Project Manager - Engineer Execute of one or more simultaneous projects, in accordance with Company policies, procedures and work instructions, directing all project phases including engineering (basic and detailed), procurement, fabrication, shipping, construction (if applicable) and commissioning/start-up. Maintain a strategic focus for the projects with frequent interaction with the business area to ensure a balance between the immediate project needs and the long-term goals of the company. Develop project execution plan and manage the execution of projects with a focus on maintaining or improving the business case or expected benefits associated to the project. Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements. Support the development of productivity/operational opportunities and provide cost estimates. Ensure that the right product is developed and delivered to meet Company's standards and requirements. Utilize project management methodologies, systems and tools as defined by Company. Lead Project Teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives. Track project against its schedule, budget and against phase gate review objectives, reporting status to management and customers as needed on a regular basis. Manage project budget and control expenses effectively. Coach project team to achieve project goals, if applicable. Lead project meetings and promote proper feedback about the status of each project, if applicable. Manage the Niagara Falls Service Center and 3 technicians. Recommend new processes where needed to improve cost, or on-time delivery. Identify project scope changes and prepare job change notices and report the actions needed. Negotiate differences with stakeholders and internal personnel to meet project goals. Review and approve key project documents including P&IDs, Plot Plans, steel and piping fabrication drawings, operating manuals, etc. Provide primary line of communication among functional representatives. Perform other duties as required. Job Requirements:BS/BA on Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years industrial related project management experience. Expertise in design and operation of industrial gas facilities is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable but not required. Possess a broad understanding of each engineering discipline. Effective management and leadership skills. Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, Lotus Notes, and other Company and discipline specific software applications. Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with management, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to travel domestically.
