working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Rochester, New York, 14626! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: New York RN license required Certifications: BLS required
Must-Have: - Experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing -
Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Knowledge of IV
insulin protocols - Experience with feeding tube care and
management - Familiarity with heparin protocols - Ability to manage
cardiac drips (no titration) - Experience with chest tubes,
external CPAP/BIPAP, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) -
Competence in tracheostomy care and wound care management
Description: Please note that a specific unit will be assigned
closer to the start date. Ensure that you connect with your
recruiter to discuss unit specifics once a unit has been assigned.
The expected patient ratios for day and evening shifts are 5 to 1
(stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch
8-10 if staff calls in). Patient Care Technicians are on all units
to assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and
activities of daily living. An in-house phlebotomy team performs
all peripheral lab draws, while nursing is responsible for PICC
lines and central lines. The patient population includes
individuals with infections, altered mental status, pain, and
increased levels of care. Special equipment utilized includes
telemetry and EKG machines. Charting is performed using an
electronic health record system. Travelers must float to other
medical/surgical units, ED boarders, and ICU to care for stable
patients as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other
weekend. Candidates should be flexible and open to accommodating
block schedules, although it is not guaranteed. The facility has
interdisciplinary support teams, including IV teams, respiratory
services, and social services. A rapid response team is available
for emergencies. Candidates should have experience with
computerized documentation and adhere to isolation precautions. All
travelers are required to float as needed between units. 5 Benefits
