Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Job.com Pay: $3,500 to $3,600 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Provide expert care for critically ill cardiac, vascular, and post-surgical patients. Manage patients requiring ventilator support, CRRT, ECMO, LVAD/RVAD, and intra-aortic balloon pump. Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips, sedation, and insulin infusions per protocol. Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters. Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and manage BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC therapy. Perform central/PICC line care, blood product administration, and continuous IV therapies. Respond to cardiac and medical emergencies; interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team—physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and PT/OT—to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain detailed documentation in EPIC and adhere to infection prevention protocols. Requirements License: Active NY RN (required, no pending licenses) Experience: Minimum 2 years CVICU or ICU experience Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required) Travel Experience: Required Charting: EPIC preferred Patient Ratio: 1:2 (occasional 1:1 for high acuity)
