Under the direction of a Radiologist, this role focuses on performing radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological conditions based on physician orders. Utilizing independent judgment, the position requires expertise in radiographic techniques, patient positioning, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include: Explaining examination procedures and preparing patients for imaging Reviewing clinical data to perform appropriate radiologic examinations Setting up and maintaining procedure rooms with necessary supplies Operating imaging equipment to capture diagnostic-quality images and applying radiation protection principles Potentially selecting and administering intravenous contrast media and monitoring patient responses Preparing sterile equipment and adhering to infection control standards Ensuring patient care practices that uphold safety, privacy, and comfort Documenting imaging procedures accurately in medical records and radiology systems Troubleshooting image quality issues within PACS and completing study indexing in RIS Collaborating with radiologists to confirm and follow clinical protocols Supporting education efforts for new hires and students while maintaining assigned duties Demonstrating professionalism through clear communication, respect for diversity, and positive teamwork Desired Experience: Proven skills in radiology imaging techniques and patient interaction Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems for image management and documentation Ability to handle emergency situations related to contrast media administration Strong organizational and communication abilities Location Overview: Situated in Warren, Michigan, the area offers a vibrant community with convenient access to urban amenities, parks, and cultural attractions.
