Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: New York license required in hand Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Behavioral Health nursing - Familiarity with charting system Epic Description: MUST HAVE New York license in hand. Specialty is Behavioral Health nursing. Shift is 3x12, from 1900 to 0730. Every other weekend is required. No on-call requirement. First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates must reside more than 75 miles away. Patient-to-nurse ratio on days is 7 and nights is 10. Candidates should float as needed. Charting experience in Epic is a hard requirement. Candidates will manage adult patients with a range of diagnoses including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, psychosis, and bipolar depression. Skills required include crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, behavior management, medication administration, and the use of seclusion.
