Responsibilities - Work in a 26-bed Med/Surg Tele unit within a tertiary care hospital - Patient population includes CHF, acute MI, post device care (pacemakers), and arrhythmias - Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7 - Night shifts with a schedule of 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) - Every other weekend and some holidays are required - Floating to other units is expected - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response are key aspects of the role - Uses Epic EMR system; experience required - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility - Must wear any combination of navy and white scrubs - Pre-start online modules are required and must be completed prior to assignment - Holiday coverage is required based on unit needs - Return staff are eligible if at least 1 year has passed since prior employment Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience - Experience with Epic EMR required - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, manage rapid response/code situations, and peripheral IV care Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-664363.
