Registered Nurse (RN) | Electrophysiology Lab Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,744 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Electrophysiology Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Electrophysiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 hour shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: NY License only Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) Must-Have: - 2 years experience - Tech License (NY License only) - BLS (American Heart Association only) Description: The Electrophysiology Nurse performs diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions in a clinical setting. Your duties include preparing the patient for the procedure and ensuring that all equipment and instrumentation are in working order. Monitoring the read-out or recording during the procedure is essential. You will assist with lab analysis and interpretation of the data, providing any issues to the physician or specialist. Assisting physicians with pacing implementation and installing other permanent devices related to heart and cardiac health is part of your role. You must communicate effectively with the physician and other in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies are available. You will assist in facilitating room turnover and on-time starts for timely patient care. Coordination with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors is necessary to ensure all team members are available for scheduled procedures. The Electrophysiology Nurse will assist at the sterile field, preparing the patient and equipment for studies and ablations as the circulator. You will maintain fluids for the ablation catheter and provide assistance with the ablator. Remaining patient-focused is crucial as you assist Anesthesia, document during studies and ablations, and provide backup pacing during implants. Epic is the primary method of documentation in the procedure, which is required. Proficiency in moderate sedation is necessary. Preferred experience includes cardiac implant or structural heart scrub, though not required. Familiarity with GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems is preferred but not required. Typical procedures performed include RF ablations (Cryo ablations), device implants, and other cardiac procedures.
