Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n SMH Level 4 RN OR - SMH : L4RN : OR RN /n/n Job Details: /n • Work rotating day/evening/night shifts with on-call and callback responsibilities /n• Float to different units as needed /n• Work holidays and weekends per unit requirements /n• Provide perioperative care for diverse surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neurology, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma procedures /n• Operate in Level 1 trauma center environment /n• Work with 2 DaVinci robots used across multiple services /n• Support transplant program involving liver, kidney, and heart procedures /n• Must be able to both scrub and circulate during surgical procedures /n• Two years of operating room experience required, with Level 1 trauma experience preferred /n• Robotics experience required /n• New York state RN license required /n• BLS certification from American Heart Association required /n• ACLS certification preferred /n• Preferred experience in specialty cases including transplants, plastics, reconstructive surgery, craniotomy procedures, and strong orthopedic background /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center operates as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties.
