Experience: Minimum 1 year License: New York license required in
hand Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must have Med
Surg/Telemetry experience. Charting experience with EPIC is
required. Previous charge experience is required. Description: MUST
HAVE NEW YORK LICENSE IN HAND - NO EXCEPTIONS. Specialty: Med
Surg/Telemetry. Shift: 3x12 days from 07:00 to 19:00. Every other
weekend required. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient ratio
is 1:5 to 1:7. The unit specializes in the care of patients
post-PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, and post-MI, as well as cardiac
pharmacological interventions. Responsibilities include cardiac
monitoring and emergency response with interpretation of
dysrhythmias. Management of dysrhythmias is also required. Use of
Rapid Response and Code teams is necessary. IV therapy and
phlebotomy skills are essential. Peripheral line care and
management is expected. Respiratory skills such as nasal cannula
and oxygen management are required. Professional topics and skills
include isolation precautions. The facility has 528 staffed beds.
The average daily census is 38. The patient age groups served are
adults and geriatrics. Candidates will be required to float.
Interdisciplinary support includes various therapy and service
teams. Patient diagnoses are complex care including Medicine and
orthopedic overflow. Charting is done using Epic. Candidate must
have experience in telemetry monitoring. Requirements Required for
