Job Description Hospitalist Opportunity – Jones Memorial Hospital Wellsville, New York | 7 On / 7 Off | 1-Year Contract Jones Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hospitalist to join its collaborative care team in Wellsville, NY. This opportunity offers a structured week on / week off schedule with 24-hour shifts, strong APP support, and a welcoming community hospital environment. Position Details - Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off - Contract: 1-year commitment required - Start Date: As soon as available - Day Coverage (7a–7p): Hospitalist onsite with 12-hour APP support - Night Coverage (7p–7a): APP remains on-site while Hospitalist is on call (must be within 20 minutes of hospital) - Admissions: 2–4 during the day; 1–3 overnight handled by APP - Call Volume: Not 100% predictable; APP manages majority of overnight activity - Patient Load: 18–25 patients shared between Hospitalist and APP - ICU: 6-bed ICU with Pulmonologist on staff - Procedures: Not required, but helpful - EMR: Epic Compensation & Benefits - Rate: $2,400–$2,500 per 24-hour shift - Includes: $2,100 for day coverage $400 overnight call stipend - Travel & Lodging: Covered - Malpractice Insurance: Provided, including full tail coverage Requirements - Active New York State medical license - Commitment to full 7 on / 7 off schedule - Ability to manage inpatient care in a team-based model - Comfortable with overnight call coverage (off-site) This is a great opportunity for a Hospitalist who values consistency, autonomy, and a supportive team structure—while enjoying flexibility during overnight call hours.
