robotic surgery experience required - Proficient in perioperative
nursing practice; preferred experience in scrubbing and circulating
Description: The RN First Assistant (RNFA) is a highly trained
registered nurse who collaborates with the surgeon and healthcare
team to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes. The
RNFA practices perioperative nursing and has acquired the necessary
knowledge, skill, and judgment specific to the operating room. In
the operative phase of the perioperative experience, the RNFA works
under the direction of the surgeon. When not assigned to the RNFA
role, the RN will perform the duties of an OR staff RN. Robotic
surgery experience is preferred in the following areas: - Urology -
GYN - Colorectal - Surgical Oncology (whipples, gastrectomies,
hernias, etc.) - Thoracic - General surgery (gallbladders,
appendectomies) Evening call and rotating holiday requirements are
included; no weekends or holidays per unit need. Completion of an
accredited RN First Assistant course is required, and certification
as a CNOR is mandatory. Candidates must be able to scrub and
