This contract position offers a chance to support students across multiple campuses within a vibrant educational environment. The role involves providing therapeutic interventions designed to enhance students' developmental and functional abilities, ensuring they can fully access their educational programs. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Occupational Therapy license Previous experience working in school-based OT settings Ability to manage and develop individualized treatment plans for school-aged children Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals Flexibility to work across different campuses as needed Location:Warren, Michigan Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 33 students Provide services at Cesar Chavez High School, as well as the Lower and Upper Elementary campuses Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professionally Hours and Schedule: 2 to 3 days per week, totaling around 16 hours Opportunity to increase hours by adding services at an additional campus if desired Benefits: Gain valuable experience working with a diverse student population Flexible scheduling to accommodate workload preferences Supportive environment encouraging professional growth within school-based therapy This position is ideal for an occupational therapist passionate about making a positive impact in educational settings.
