MRI Tech Location: Geneva, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,526 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 15 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: ACUTE : TECH : Allied MRI Tech Duration: 15 Shift: Option 1) Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - 9:00a-5:30p every other Saturday 8:00a-4:30p Option 2) 2x12s (7-7) Hours per Shift: Varies based on shift option selected Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology preferred License: NYS License Certifications: Certification as a radiologic, nuclear medicine or ultrasound technologist Must-Have: Formal MRI-specific training preferred Description: Performs technical MRI assignments. Exercises complex skill, judgment, and knowledge of the principles and methods of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Performs diagnostic MRI studies as requested. Follows infection control protocols according to universal precautions. Must have the ability to provide care to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Operates MRI equipment, coils, and related equipment accurately. Evaluates image quality and demonstrates accuracy in MRI positioning and coil selection based on procedure guidelines. Demonstrates competency in radiology information systems (RIS). Utilizes the system to enter and edit patient demographics and charges. Records other appropriate data as needed. Demonstrates competency with picture archiving and communication system (PACS) for image processing, image review, and proper protocol selection. Ensures compliance with magnet safety guidelines for self, patients, and others. Adheres to prescribed techniques in administering MRI and contrast media. Recognizes emergency situations related to reactions to contrast media and takes appropriate action. Maintains mandatory continuing education credits as required in Radiologic Technology.
