The Cook runs the kitchen during their shift and makes sure meals
are prepared efficiently, safely, and up to our standards. The Cook
handles deliveries, checks that orders are correct, and puts
everything away properly. They also assist with service and
dishwashing as needed. Key Responsibilities Plan and prepare all
meals, making sure each step of the cooking process is done
correctly. Taste and check food to make sure it matches recipes and
looks the way it should. Know proper portion sizes and make sure
food is served correctly. Use leftover food smartly to reduce waste
and control costs. Keep an eye on all kitchen temperatures — food
storage, dish machine, coolers, and freezers — and record them
daily. Keep all work areas clean and sanitary, meeting or exceeding
health department standards. Before leaving, check the entire
kitchen to be sure everything is clean, equipment is off, and the
space is secure. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
or Manager. Requirements: 2–4 years of cooking experience in a food
service setting Basic knowledge of food and how to prepare it for
groups Comfortable with simple math for adjusting recipes and
portions Able to work at a steady, fast pace Must pass a full
background check Weekend availability required This position is for
