Catholic Mutual Canada provides property and general liability claim adjustment, risk management/loss prevention services, and general services to the Roman Catholic Church in Ontario and British Columbia. We have an excellent opportunity for a Loss Control Representative for our Service Office in Toronto, Ontario. The successful candidate will conduct Risk Management surveys and promotes safety through seminars and workshops and through writing of safety articles and distributing other safety materials. Analyzes loss histories and trends by reviewing detailed loss reports and claim files. Provides contract and policy review and assists with Certificates of Insurance. The Loss Control Representative must have 3-5 years of experience in conducting safety inspections or possess similar experience. Must have an undergraduate degree with some insurance and/or safety related courses. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English and French, both verbally and in writing. This position involves traveling to and from various churches, schools and other locations. Occasional overtime and/or the necessity to respond to work issues during normal off-hours is required. The ability to recall guidelines and technical data to perform tasks and make decisions based on sound judgement is required. Must have a valid driver---s license and acceptable driving record. Travel by driving an automobile for up to 7 hours at a time and/or common carrier is required.
