Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Operating Room Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac OR Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (7 AM to 7 PM) Experience: Two (2) years of operating room experience preferred License: RN License (New York only) Certifications: BLS Certification (American Heart Association only) Must-Have: ACLS Certification (American Heart Association only) Description: The Cardiac Operating Room cares for a wide variety of patients. Procedures include CABGs, TAVIs, and treatments for heart failure such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the staff provides care for patients of all ages. The ability to independently function as RN circulator for complex adult cardiac cases is essential. This includes CABGs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases.
